The role of the Specification Sales Manager Plumbing, Heating and Drainage systems will involve:

• Pure specification field sales role promoting the company’s manufactured range of gravity and pressure systems for: water management solutions, ventilation, heating, hot & Cold water, PVC above ground soil and waste drainage systems and rainwater harvesting
• Typical a residential and commercial buildings mix including: 4 stories+ office blocks, public buildings, hospitals, schools, student halls, MOD and commercial buildings
• 80% time getting specified by M&E Consultants, 20% architects
• Conducting 2/3 CPD presentations per month
• Initially more account management driven, ensuring key M&E consultants relationships are looked after, 50/50 new business versus account management over time
• Once projects specifications have been won, and customers awarded, you will hand over to the technical sales team for closing the sale
• You will be responsible for winning new specifications
• Typically £40m+ projects, of which your component part will be approx. 1%
• In the first Quarter, you will targeted at achieving 5-6 specification per month, no individual revenue targets
• ABI and Glenigan leads given, as well as some internal appointment making support, although it is expected that the majority of appointments will be made by yourself
• Targeted on 4-5 client visits per day, Four days a week (one admin day)

The ideal applicant will be a Specification Sales Manager Plumbing, Heating & Drainage Systems with:

• Proven specification field sales track record with M&E Consultants
• Solution sales background, not a catalogue salesperson
• Any commercial mechanical bias
• Contacts within M&E Consultants highly desirable
• Backgrounds of interest may include: Boilers, valve’s, Sanitary-ware, above ground PVC soil & waste drainage, rain water harvesting, hot & cold water, heating, ventilation and water management solutions
• Strong technical ability, ideally able to read technical drawings
• CPD presentation experience
• Excellent understanding of the design process as many products are bespoke to each project
