Remuneration: £50,000 – £60,000 + £10,000-£60,000 uncapped commission

The role of the Area Sales Manager – Cladding and Facades will involve:
• Field sales position selling an independent distributed range of cladding solutions, including brick, terracotta and stone rainscreens, stone cladding and rainscreens and decorative cladding
• 65% of your time selling into specialist cladding sub-contractor installers
• 35% selling into main contractors and architects
• 30% new business, 70% account development, (established sub-contractor base)
• Loads of sub-contractor installers to approach, many of whom have only worked with our client once or twice previously
• General sales team develop specification, which are then pulled through the main contractors and ultimately the specialist cladding sub-contractor
• Typical projects will include large scale commercial, healthcare and education buildings
• Project sizes from 500m2 up to 15,000m2
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Cladding and Facades with:
• Field sales experience within; cladding, roofing, curtain walling, windows, doors, or other associated building envelope systems
• Ideally sold into specialist cladding sub-contractor installers
• Comfortable with complex products, not just the façade material, also the support frame, primary frame and ancillary items such as clay cavity barriers and insulation
• New business and account management capability
• Good technical understanding and the ability to interpret technical drawings
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Must have a positive energy and be able to work in a fast paced environment
• Career stability is essential
• New business hunger
