Remuneration: £35,000 – £45,000 (depending on experience)

The role of the Development Engineer – Furniture will involve:
- Product Development Engineer role dealing with a high quality manufactured range of furniture for example: tables, chairs, stools, storage units, benches, desks
- Develop and launch products from concept through to manufacture
- Produce and control manufacturing drawings for client orders
- Develop working prototypes for Design, Sales and Operations teams
- Write technical specifications, SOPs and quality standards for all products and packaging
- Continuous research into materials and process to ensure products are made to the highest standards
- Produce CNC programmes (3 and 5 axis) for manufacture of both joinery and upholstery
The ideal applicant will be a Development Engineer – Furniture with:
- Must have a strong background in product development
- Ideally dealt with related products such as: furniture, joinery, upholstery, workspaces, chairs, desks, sofas, booths, stools, tables, office furniture, fit-out etc
- Experienced 2D & 3D AutoCAD user (Inventor & Solidworks)
- Ideally will have a Mechanical Engineering qualification or similar
- Ideally familiar with ERP & MRP systems (Winman)
- Highly motivated and able to work on own initiative
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple projects / problem solving attitude
