Remuneration: £40,000 – £50,000 + £14,000 commission

The role of the Regional Sales Manager –Warehouse Safety Solutions will involve:

  • Field sales role predominantly selling protective mesh and panel solutions for machine guarding & automation, warehouse partitioning & logistics and commercial & industrial partitioning (also property protection for applications like bike storage)
  • Also promoting a range of commercial partitioning for clean rooms for data centres, F1, medical, pharmaceutical sectors
  • 30% of the time selling direct to large manufacturing, warehouse & logistics and industrial end users
  • 70% selling via specialist retail/ distribution partners; partition specialists, clean room specialists, industrial and logistic distributors etc.
  • Managing and growing existing accounts, this role is only available due to a retirement
  • Responsible for circa £4.5m turnover of the mesh and panel solutions for warehousing and industrial customers and approx. £2.4m turnover for the commercial partitioning systems for clean rooms etc.
  • Targeted to bring on 20 new customers per quarter
  • Typically selling into external sales teams, procurement managers, category managers, operations managers and MD and Sales Directors within manufacturing, industrial and warehouse/ distribution environments
  • Conducting site surveys and ensuring accurate project specifications on quotes over £15,000
  • Supported by the office who will do all quotes and pricing for you
  • Tasked with improving the current conversation rate of 8% to 12%
  • Project orders up to £1m but typically £25,000-£30,000
  • Following up on leads via Glenigan and NBS
  • CPD presentations as required

The ideal applicant will be a Regional Sales Manager –Warehouse Safety Solutions with:

  • Proven track record of field based sales within the construction/ industrial industry sectors
  • Experience within managing distribution networks e.g. would someone working for a national builders merchants
  • Warehouse/ distribution, industrial and manufacturing sector experience may be beneficial
  • New business hunter
  • Willing to learn
  • Ability to conduct site surveys
  • Willingness to travel (probably Ireland once per quarter, Scotland once per month)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience in solution based sales on quality not price
  • Able to manage and update a CRM system
  • Self motivated with good time management / organisational skills
  • Genuine ‘get up and go’ work ethic
