The role of the Specification Sales Manager – Glazing will involve:
• Field sales role, selling a distributed range (sole UK rights) of ultra-thin vacuum-insulated glazing
• 50% of your time influencing architects and other specifiers in respect of the benefit of this double glazed system which performs to the same standard as triple glazed products
• Educating wherever possible the benefits of retrofitting this product into existing timber sash and casement window frames
• Remainder of time managing and developing relationships main contractors, joiners and glazing installers (approx.15 installers on the area, growing the number of installers to ideally 30+)
• Predominantly for the retro-fit market
• Installers vary in size from 10m2 to 100m2
• Help our client grow from 4,000m2 to 8,000m2 in the next year (circa 30% of the turnover comes from the North & Scotland)
• Presentations as and when required
The ideal applicant will be a Specification Sales Manager – Architectural Glass Facades with:
• 4 years+ glazing industry field sales experience
• Proven track record in field sales, although may consider a technically minded person who has worked for a glazing contractor
• Understands how to influence architects and other specifiers
• Understand U-values and G-values
• Patience in approach
• Consultative, ability to be an educator
• Excellent new business development capability
• Highly motivated
