The role of the National Account Manager – Plumbing & Heating and Bathrooms will involve:

• Field sales role promoting a manufactured range of macerator pumps that allow domestic and commercial customers to install bathrooms and showers in rooms with limited access to mains drainage (assists with the discharge of waster water)
• Also promoting a range of self contained shower cubicles (combine interior glass panels, with shower trays, side panels, doors and brassware)
• National Account Management role, you will be responsible for the builders merchant groups such as PHG, Fortis, Grafton, NBG, UKPS and a few independent merchants such as William Trade, STC etc.
• Initially responsible for approx. £2m and circa 11 accounts, although each account can have up to 16 members (PHG)
• Develop new and increase existing sales of our clients’ products within the account portfolio
• Forming a business plan with each of the individual group members and ensuring all plans & activity is cascaded correctly to our clients field sales teams
• Developing a robust/ full “sales channel strategy” in order to maximise the return for our client whilst managing/ preventing any conflict between trading customers
• Respond to tenders and requests for information in a timely manner (as the main point of contact)

The ideal applicant will be a National Account Manager – Plumbing & Heating and Bathrooms with:

• Ideally a minimum of 4 years of experience selling plumbing products into builders merchants and plumbers merchants
• May consider KBB industry sales experience with builders merchants and plumbers merchants
• Excellent account management/ development relationships building skills
• Strong technical and sales orientated background
• National role, so must be comfortable with travel and overnight stays as required
• Proactive, personable, motivated and driven
• Commercial acumen
• Ability to self-manage own workload to tight deadlines, including balancing, planning and organising multiple tasks simultaneously
