Remuneration: £55,000 Neg. Basic salary. + £90,000 OTE

The role of the National Account Manager – Kitchen, Bathroom Brassware will involve:

• Field sales role promoting a manufactured range of showering solutions, washbasins and kitchen brassware products
• National Account Management role, you will be responsible for the builders merchant groups such as Travis Perkins and UKPS as well as buying groups such as PHG and Fortis along with some independent builders merchants
• Initially responsible for approx. £6m and circa 6 accounts, (performing above budget expectation) although each account can have up to numerous members
• Develop new and increase existing sales of our clients’ products within the account portfolio (e.g. our client only trades with 70% of Fortis’s 35 members and approx. 50% of these are underperforming)
• Forming a business plan with each of the individual group members and ensuring all plans & activity is cascaded correctly to our clients field sales teams
• Developing a robust/ full “sales channel strategy” in order to maximise the return for our client whilst managing/ preventing any conflict between trading customers
• Respond to tenders and requests for information in a timely manner (as the main point of contact)

The ideal applicant will be a National Account Manager – Kitchen, bathroom Brassware with:

• Must have field sales experience selling brassware, plumbing or kitchen/ bathroom (KBB) products into builders merchants or plumbers merchants
• Credibility within the independent builders merchant sector
• Demonstrable track record of having successfully nurtured/ grown builders or plumbers merchant accounts
• Excellent account management/ development relationships building skills
• National role, so must be comfortable with travel and overnight stays as required
• Proactive, personable, motivated and driven
• Commercial acumen
• Ability to self-manage own workload to tight deadlines, including balancing, planning and organising multiple tasks simultaneously
