The role of the Area Sales Manager Bathrooms and Retail Showrooms will involve:

• Field sales position promoting a mid to high end range of brassware (bathrooms taps & showers), shower doors and potentially from September very high end showers
• Majority of your time selling into predominantly independent bathroom retailers and bathroom showrooms
• Inheriting 1 plumbing and heating merchant and approx. 15 independent retail accounts
• Initially responsible for circa £160,000 turnover (majority comes from existing plumbing & heating merchant)
• New role, this area has not previously had dedicated field sales representation (and had still performed well against budget expectation)
• Targeted to achieve £300,000 in 2022 (ambition is to grow the area to £500,000 over the next 3-5 years)
• 80% new business development (recruiting 15-25 new bathroom retail showrooms in year one, 20% account management)
• Fantastic opportunity to grow an area and make a name for yourself
• Assisting in the launch of a new product range later this year
• Calling on customers on a six-eight week call cycle
• Assisting with merchandising, training, developing and nurturing bathroom retailers

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager Bathrooms and Retail Showrooms with:

• Must have 2-3 years experience selling bathroom products, such as brassware, taps, showers etc. (may consider wider KBB market)
• Must have sold into retail showrooms, ideally independent bathroom retailers
• Contacts within high end bathroom showrooms ideal
• Hungry go-getters, not someone looking for a “milk-round”
• Excellent new business development skills
• Specific brassware knowledge of showers and taps is not essential
• Ability to build strategic relationships with bathroom retailers
• Resilient personality with genuine sales ability
• Professional and prepared with strong organisational and territory management skills
