Job Title: Internal Sales Account Manager – Flooring Underlay & Accessories

Remuneration: £23,000 + £6,000 bonus

The role will involve:

• Internal office-based Sales Account Manager position selling various carpet and wood underlays, specialist accessories and other flooring solutions
• Working very closely with external Business Development Manager on circa 300 active accounts
• Proactively making outbound calls to existing clients; developing new business relationships; arranging appointments for BDM to visit customers; up/cross selling where possible
• Recording and maintaining outbound call log; regular upkeep of internal CRM customer database
• Generating and swiftly following up individually tailored sales quotations; dealing with incoming price and/or product enquiries
• Developing a strategic plan for individual accounts to maximise sales opportunities
• Building a pipeline of enquiries and negotiating them through to completion
• Handling deals with project values ranging between £1k - £20k+
• Capitalising on marketing campaigns and promotions with customers
• Providing excellent customer service on all incoming/outgoing queries and/or issues; assist in dealing with an overflow of calls from Customer Service department
• Working as part of a tight knit internal office, helping in all areas where necessary
• Handling transport, delivery and technical issues/questions as and when needed

Essential criteria:
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Effective organisational and time management skills
• Willingness to help and work as part of a team
• Experience with IT programs including Excel, Word and Outlook
• Strong work ethic and take pride in their role
• Enthusiasm and demonstrate a perseverance in telesales

Desirable Criteria:

• Previous experience in the flooring/construction industry
• Experience with Orderwise/Salesforce or similar sales-based CRMs
• Familiar with targets, KPIs and sales performance related expectations
• Ideally from an internal sales or customer service related background
• Would consider graduates from business-based degree looking for their first role
