Remuneration: £50,000-£55,000 Neg. + £20,000 uncapped commission

Benefits: Car (hybrid) or Car Allowance (£450 per month) + comprehensive benefits package

The role of the Business Development Manager Modular Accommodation will involve:

• Field sales position selling the hire of modular accomodation
• Targeting the infrastructure vertical – road, rail and ports
• Selling into tier one and tier two main contractors, winning framework agreements and government infrastructure frameworks
• Initially responsible for circa £5m turnover
• Targeted to grow the sector to £6m-£7m next year
• Typical project sizes from £100,000 up to £750,000 (average £250,000)
• Predominantly a new business development position (our client has in the past been to reliant on reactively responding to tenders)
• Building strong relationships with branch management to promote high customer quality and service
• Championing health & safety culture
• Promoting customer satisfaction, encouraging retention etc.

The ideal applicant will be a Business Development Manager Modular Accommodation with:

• Must have a demonstrable track record of success in field sales/ growing customer accounts
• Must have sold into the infrastructure sector, either road, rail or UK ports
• Preferably with a network of contacts within either road, rail or UK ports
• Ideally some knowledge of modular accommodation, although product knowledge can be taught
• Ability to navigate both strategically and tactically “happy to get hands dirty”
• Mixture of long term thinking nous with an attitude of “getting stuck in”
• Comfortable with data/ performance management
• Positive outlook, “can do” approach to challenges
• Proven field sales achievement of £5million+ per annum within the construction industry
• Hunger/ appetite for new business
