Remuneration: £48,000-£55,000 Neg. + £12,500 Bonus

The role of the Formwork, Groundwork and Civil Engineering Field Sales Manager will involve:

• Field sales man management position, responsible for a team of 5 sales professionals (2 x formwork/ falsework, 1 x RMI repair, maintenance & installation and 2 x ground shoring)
• 60% of your time on the road with the field sales team promoting the hire of; heavy-duty propping, needling, formwork, falsework etc.
• 40% of your time strategic planning, dealing with technical and operational issues (such as disputes, collecting payments, sorting out queries etc.) and managing some key accounts
• Typically selling into main contractors and specialist sub contractor accounts such as concrete frame contractors, civil engineering contractors, specialist formwork & falsework contarctors
• Tasked with achieving approx 15% growth in respect of existing £5m ledger (approx. £4m of hire and £1m of new & existing sale equipment)
• Huge opportunity for growth, you will inherit a very healthy pipeline of projects (some very large e.g. HS2)
• Inhering a team performing in line with budget expectation
• Managing an established field sales team, each with circa £800,000-£1m revenue responsibility
• Striving towards company objective to double the regions turnover in the next 5 years

The ideal applicant will be a Formwork, Groundwork and Civil Engineering Field Sales Manager with:

• Proven track record in construction field sales man management, ideally from a hire background
• Preferably from a heavy duty or civil engineering associated product background such as; formwork, falsework, propping, needling, shoring, trenching, piling etc
• May also consider heavy duty plant hire such as diggers, dumpers, cranes etc.
• Excelling motivator/ mentor of field sales professionals
• Ability to develop into a director level position in 5-10 years
• Solution sales / value engineering (don’t sell on price, not a commodity sale)
• Comfortable with a technical sell, easily able to liaise with engineering and operational internal teams
• Structured sales and sales management approach
• Contacts within main contractors and specialist civil & concrete frame sub contractors is not essential
• Ability to lead by example
• Excellent mentor, trainer and ambassador for the business
• Mix of construction and engineering backgrounds preferred
