Remuneration: £40,000-£50,000 Neg. + 50% Commission (6 month guarantee) + profit share (2-4 weeks salary)

The role of the Business Development Manager – Office Furniture will involve:

• Field sales role promoting a manufactured range of office furniture
• 70% Focussed on large furniture and interior design dealers
• 20% selling into corporate end users and 10% of your time specification sales with A&D architect & interior designers
• Responsible for circa £1.5m-£2m revenue
• Inheriting a significant project bank
• 50% new business development, 50% account management
• Project sizes from £20,000 up to £1m+ (average £100,000-£120,000)
• Managing 1/2 very large spending accounts, 2/3 Tier One accounts and a number of smaller lower spending accounts whilst stimulating demand with end users
• Developing and maintaining relationships with all staff within each dealer or direct customer
• Acting as the expert/ go-to person for your dealer partners and customers
• Preparing accurate quotations using Pcon Basket and excel
• Problem solving, resolving conflicts and providing solutions to customers’ needs
• Home based position, but it likely you will spend 2/3 days per week in our clients central London showroom

The ideal applicant will be a Business Development Manager – Office Furniture with:

• Either office furniture field sales experience or any associated interior products or FF&E product sales background with a network of contacts within London based furniture and interior dealers
• Proactive and self sufficient – ability to hit ground running
• Ability to produce high quality presentations/ proposals and quotations
• Excellent relationship management skills with ability to manage large furniture and interior dealers
• Ability to use Pcon planner would be advantageous
• Proven track record of field sales success / territory management
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects / problem solving attitude
• Good time management skills, focussed and customer service orientated
