Area to be covered: Midlands & South – ideally based near Birmingham, London & Bristol Triangle
Remuneration: £45,000-£50,000 Neg. + 20%-30% Bonus

The role of the Area Sales Manager – Window & Door Hardware will involve:
• Field sales position, selling a manufactured range of window & door hardware
• Approx. 75% of your time selling direct to window fabrications and 25% into window & door distributors
• Inheriting an area with a turnover of circa £1.5m (approx. £1m PVC, £5000,000 aluminium)
• Initially 70% new business focussed, but this will evolve to become 50% new business, 50% account management over time (initially 3 major and 4 smaller distributors on the patch, large number of fabricators)
• Tasked with growing new business on the area by £300,000-£400,000 by recruiting new window fabricators (huge opportunity for growth within timber market, 900+ joiners on patch)
• Long term focus of the role will be promote our clients manufactured range of tilt & turn hardware to the top 100 fabricators our client doesn’t currently supply
• Assisting distributor field sales reps in promoting their products, tag teaming fabricator visits
• Being targeted on profitability as well as number of accounts opened
• Contributing towards an overall UK budget target
• Improving brand recognition, as our client is better known in the North
• Taking clients to European manufacturing sites on a monthly basis (passport required)
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Window & Door Hardware with:
• A proven track record in field sales within the associated windows & doors industry
• Either a technically strong field sales person, or someone who is bright and willing to learn the technical aspects of this opportunity
• Specific window & door hardware knowledge is not essential, our client is open to associated products such as: weather seals, gaskets, glazing, profiles (PVC) or even a window installer/fitter backgrounds
• Prior experience of having sold into window fabricators is desirable
• Autonomous in nature
• Smart, energetic and dynamic
• Comfortable with up to 12 month plus sales cycles, for larger fabricator customers
• Knowledge of the area/ customer contacts may be advantageous
• New business development and excellent account management capability
• Comfortable working in a team dynamic, but with the ability to be self motivated and autonomous
• Positive, can-do attitude
