Remuneration: £37,000-£39,000 + £10,000-£20,000 Uncapped Bonus

The role of the Area Sales Manager – Woodwork & Cutting Tools will involve:

• Field sales based role, promoting a manufactured range of woodwork & cutting tools including; router cutters, routing jigs and router accessories
• Selling into a mixture of DIY retailers and hardware stores
• You will be responsible for circa 100 accounts
• Account sizes can vary from £5,000-£20,000 per annum
• Accounts will be split approx. 50/50 between our client’s official router centres, where our client’s products are on display (3m of display – Gold dealer, 2m Silver dealer and 1m bronze dealer) and also smaller independent customers
• This area has maintained steady revenue despite the challenges witch the pandemic has thrown up
• Tasked with maintaining the current turnover of £1.7m
• Ensuring our clients are well presented in retail stores/ stockists
• Promoting newly launched rage of cordless tools
• Weekly calls with the Sales Director
• Attending trade shows, events held at dealer premises, and visiting end-user’s sites

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Woodwork & Cutting Tools with:

• Proven track record in field sales
• Must have sold woodwork tools, cutting tools or power tools
• Would also consider other products with a demonstrable track record of selling into DIY stores/ hardware retailers
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to hit ground running, our client is looking for someone to work independently (full product training will be provided)
• Excellent presentation and demonstrating skills
• Willingness to travel extensively through your region, occasional overnight stays will be required (Premier Inn card included in package)
• Ability to pick up product knowledge and health & safety information efficiently
• A practical and professional hands on competent approach
• Excellent organisational / territory planning skills
