Area to be covered: Surrey, Sussex, Kent and South London

Remuneration: £35,000 - £40,000 + uncapped commission giving OTE circa £60,000 - £70,000

The role of the Area Sales Manager – Storage Solutions will involve:

• Field sales position selling a manufactured range of storage solutions such as: steel shelving, mobile storage and racking solutions
• All of your time will be spent selling directly to and generating specifications with architects, local authorities, councils, main contractors, sub-contractors, and end users
• Focusing on public sector
• Inheriting a territory achieving £1.1m and already hit target
• Dealing with order values ranging from £1k-£1m+ with typical project being £8k
• Good blend of account management and new business
• Represent the company at trade shows, events and conduct company CPD presentations to clients
• Being aware of competitors products and activities including new products, strategies and marketing campaigns

The ideal applicant will be a Area Sales Manager – Storage Solutions with:

• Must have experience selling to / generating specifications with architects, local authorities, councils, main contractors, sub-contractors, and end users
• Must have proven track record in sales
• Ideally worked on public sector projects
• Must be IT literate to a decent standard
• Ideally have sold storage units, steel shelving, lockers and pallet racking or associated products such as cubicles, cupboards, storage solutions/systems (however open on products)
• Strong negotiation experience and ability to deal with contractual procedures and responsibilities
• Excellent influencing and communication skills; well-spoken and personable; able to get on with diverse personalities
• Strong analytical, negotiating and decision making abilities
