Job Title: Contracts Manager – Racking

Location: Coventry
Remuneration: £30,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience) + Project Margin Related Bonus

The role of the Contracts Manager – Racking will involve:
• Contracts manager position, managing multiple racking, mezzanine floors and office fit-out projects for the industrial market sector
• Taking full ownership of projects from order stage through to successful completion
• Produce method statements and risk assessments for all work undertaken
• Ensure compliance with health and safety on site, including all suppliers and sub-contractors
• Conduct on-site surveys and inspections
• Attend or chair project meetings, both internal and external
• Control and manage project budgets
• Vetting and liaising with suppliers and sub-contractors
• Understand and keep up to date with industry design codes and standards
• Work with other staff members and teams to develop standards
• Provide support to other staff members as required, including sales functions in bid preparation
• Observe and promote all company rules, policies and safe working practices at all times
• Ensure compliance with company quality management system and procedures
• Working on projects varying in value from £2k up to £2m
The ideal applicant will be a Contracts Manager – Racking with:
• Must have contracts management experience within the construction industry
• Ideally will have experience within office fit-out, mezzanines or racking & shelving, however this isn’t essential
• Would consider construction management grad who has done work placement with main contractor
• Excellent contracts management skills
• Ideally will degree or relevant construction qualification
• Ideally will have NEBOSH or be willing to acquire
• Confident, resilient and articulate
• Good communication skills
• Strong organisation skills and high attention to detail
• Good numerical skills
• Technical understanding and can interpret drawings
