Job Title: Area Sales Manager – Highway & Bridges Waterproofing Systems
Industry Sector: Highway Maintenance Services, Road Protection Systems, Waterproofing Systems, Infrastructure, Bridges, Highways, Local Authorities, National Highways, Network Rail, Contractors
Areas to be covered: South East, East Anglia and West Midlands
Remuneration: £45,000 + 25% bonus
Benefits: BMW or Merc Hybrid car or £500 car allowance + full comprehensive benefits
The role of the Area Sales Manager – Highway & Bridges Waterproofing Systems will involve:
• Field sales position selling a manufactured range of waterproofing systems for infrastructure projects: highways and bridges
• Majority of your time will be spent generating specifications with local authorities, civil engineers, specifying consultants, National Highways, Network Rail, main and sub-contractors
• A smaller element of your time may involve back selling through selected distributor partners such as; Jewson Civils, Travis Perkins and Resapol
• Dealing with order values ranges from £2k - £1m depending on size and scope
• Inheriting a territory currently turning over circa £300k, looking to grow extensively
• Working closely with National Sales Manager and internal support teams
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Highway & Bridges Waterproofing Systems with:
• Must have sales experience in the infrastructure sector
• ideally from a highway design, highway construction / highways sales background
• Must have specification experience selling to local authorities
• Would consider a contractors led professional however having specification experience with local authorities is highly advantageous
• Strong work ethic
• Musty be able to work on projects “cradle to grave”
• Must be practically and flexible
• Strong commercial awareness
• IT literate, ability to utilise in-house CRM system
