The role of the Project Manager – Residential Building will involve:
• Contracts Manager position promoting high end residential build and design, managing all aspects of the contracts from the tender stage all the way through to the completion
• Writing up health and safety documents for each individual site
• Monitoring all site activity; organising all site workers, collating risk assessments and carrying out health and safety checks
• Responsibility for the profit and loss for the construction phase of the project
• Ensuring successful completion of projects within specified dates
• Liaising with suppliers for the delivery of all materials that will be needed on site and ensuring they arrive on time
• Liaising with clients and providing reports for the project
• Attending pre-contract meetings and progress meetings with clients
• Maintaining good working knowledge of current contracts, acts, and legislation
• Electronically documenting all contract-related correspondence, identifying and recording progress and problems
• Managing 2-3 projects varying in value range from £500k to £4m
• 50/50 split between office and site, of course this may change depending on volume of projects
The ideal applicant will be a Project Manager – Residential Building industry with:
• Must have a proven track record in Project/Contract management in the construction industry (3 years min.)
• Must have experience in the residential market sector
• Ideally will be degree level educated in a construction field, however this isn’t essential
• Must have CSCS card
• Good IT skills (Microsoft Office)
• Confident and articulate, possessing the ability to influence, and quickly understand business and technical concepts
• Ability to plan and organise deliverables
• High self confidence
