The role of the Commercial Specification Sales Manager – Paving / Hard Landscaping will involve:
• Field sales position, selling a high quality distributed range of natural and man made clay, concrete and natural stone landscaping products such as paving, masonry, tiles, cladding and street furniture etc.
• Concentration on sales into commercial projects
• 50% of your time developing specifications via architects, landscape architects and local authorities
• 50% responsible for seeing through sales with civil engineering contractors and groundworkers
• Responsible for an established territory with a turnover target of £2.5m
• Inheriting an area that has performed well against budget expectations
• Split of managing and expanding existing business to generating new business based on your existing contact base
• Dealing with small to large order values ranging from £10,000 - £1m
• Managing the sale process (‘cradle to grave’) from initial stages through to delivery
• Working within a team of three covering London
The ideal applicant will be a Commercial Specification Sales Manager – Paving / Hard Landscaping with:
• Ideally with a proven field sales track record within an associated hard landscaping industry
• Our client is open to various product backgrounds including: natural and man made clay, concrete and natural stone landscaping products such as paving, masonry, tiles, cladding and street furniture etc.
• Specification field sales experience with architects, landscape architects or local authorities is required
• Ideally with contacts within landscape architects or civil engineering contractors
• Ideally a technical understanding or qualification in hard landscaping
• Comfortable working for a smaller company where you may be required to deal with projects from inception to completion
• Driven, enthusiastic, competitive and with a sense of humour
