Remuneration: £40,000-£50,000 + 10% Bonus

The role of the Area Sales Manager Timber Frame / Off-Site Construction will involve:
• Technical field sales role promoting the design, manufacture and erection of timber frame systems for social and private housing
• 70% of your time you will be selling into house builder developers, 30% main contractors (not tier ones)
• Typical projects this year have ranged from £250,000 to £5m+, with an average order value just below £1.5m
• 80% New business development, 20% account management
• You will inherit a small number of priced enquiries that will need chasing down
• Tasked with achieving circa £5m in your 2nd year
• Area is currently performing well against budget expectation
• Monthly meetings at head office as well as meeting up with the Sales & Marketing Director on a bi-weekly/ monthly basis, you may also be required to visit the factory at head office with prospective clients
• Using the technical skills of the in house estimating, design and project management teams
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager Timber Frame / Off-Site Construction with:
• Must have sold to housebuilder developers
• Timber frame systems field sales experience
• May be open to other building products/ off-site construction systems such as light weight steel frame systems, CLT (cross laminate timber) etc. for a more junior role
• Contacts within housebuilders and private developers is not required but may be beneficial
• Comfortable with a strategic sell rather than a transactional product sell (encompassing both service delivery and product benefits)
• Ability to close £1.5m+ complex deals
• New business hunter with ability to “get in the door”
• An ability to have an input on estimating with a view to developing the scope of a bid to suit individual client needs may be useful
• Technically capable, commercially aware team player
