Remuneration: £65,000-£70,000 neg. + 20% Bonus

The role of the Regional Sales Manager – Piping Systems for Building Services will involve:
• Field sales and field sales management position, selling a large manufactured portfolio of piping systems for building services and industrial projects
• 40%-50% of your time stimulating demand for products with our client’s contractor based which is primarily mechanical contractors, M&E contractors and other plumbing & heating or building services contractors
• 30% of your time developing, coaching and managing initially one Area Sales Manager (recruiting a 2nd later in the year), who is responsible for back selling through a mix of national (BSS, Pipe Centre, Wolseley) and independent plumbing and heating distributors / plumbers merchants
• 20-30% of your time influencing and winning specifications with consulting engineers and M&E consultants (although this area has a dedicated Specification Manager who you are not responsible for)
• A mix of repeat business but with a focus on new business development
• Tasked with contributing circa £2m towards the South East £13m-£14m revenue stream
• Projects will be typically residential with orders from £20,000-£500,000 (average orders £80,000-£90,000)
The ideal applicant will be a Regional Sales Manager – Piping Systems for Building Services with:
• Must have field sales experience within building services
• Ideally with some man management of a field sales team although this is not essential
• Must have sold to contractors such as: mechanical contractors, M&E contractors, plumbing and heating contractors etc.
• Network of contacts within Mechanical Contractors, M&E Contractors, Plumbing and Heating Contractors etc.
• Delivered key projects within building services
• Working knowledge of engineering and technical issues involved building services
• Knowledge of fittings, piping systems, valves or measuring devises is desirable but not essential
• Approachable, articulate and bubbly personality
