Remuneration: £35,000-£45,000 + 10-15% Bonus

The role of the Area Sales Manager – Timber Panel Products will involve:
• Home based field sales role, selling a manufactured range of timber panel products including; fencing, site hoarding, timber frame, modular build etc.
• Selling into timber merchants, builders merchants, roofing merchants, main contractors, joinery manufacturers and large industrial end users
• 50% new business development and 50% account management
• Inheriting a small number of existing accounts with a approx. turnover of £60,000 per month
• Tasked with growing the area to circa £200,000 per month
• Both areas available due to our clients ambitious growth plans
• Generating new revenue at builders merchant branch level, establishing stock levels,
merchandising, product training, product awareness and building relationships
• Stimulating end user demand for the products with house builders, timber frame
manufacturers, shop fitters, contractors and construction end users
• Fantastic marketing and internal sales support
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Timber Panel Products with:
• Outstanding attitude, our client is looking for “can-do” approach, proactive nature,
intelligence and roll sleeves up mentality
• Demonstrable field sales experience, ideally having either worked for or sold to a builders merchants, timber merchant or roofing merchant
• “Commodity” field sales background preferred
• Will also consider any previous experience of having sold to house builders, timber frame
manufacturers, shop fitters, construction companies, DIY and furniture end users
• Relationship builder, but also capable of new business development
• Timber product knowledge is not essential, as full product training will be provided
• Looking for longevity in career, no job hoppers
• Hungry and with a desire to succeed
