The role of the Area Sales Manager – Premium Doors & Door Systems will involve:

• Field sales position selling a designed and manufactured range of innovative products for the door and window industry
• Selling a door systems portfolio comprising of; door hardware systems for folding doors, screening systems for large patio doors and door systems for door dealers/ retail showrooms
• Typical order values; screening systems £1,500, door systems £5,000+ and door hardware systems £400 per doorset
• Approx 30% of the role will be new business development, initially promoting the door screens into a network of door dealers through the North of England, then latterly into joinery companies, house building OEM’s, fabricators and door system companies
• 70% account management of circa 200 accounts within the joinery sector, which our sells their door hardware systems and door systems into
• Focus of this position will be to promote the made to measure door screens into door retail showrooms, most of the existing revenue (circa £1m) coming from hardware and door systems via the joinery sector currently
• Establishing a network of prestige door dealers/ showrooms, to display our client’s screens, and ultimately develop these into dedicated our client’s door dealers/ showrooms
• Prospect and establish new accounts

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Premium Doors & Door Systems with:

• Must have field sales experience within the door retail showroom sector
• Open to KBB kitchen bedroom & bathroom field sales experience into independent retail customers
• Technical understanding and a practical aptitude
• May consider window and door or architectural hardware backgrounds into the joinery sector
• Must be able to sell a concept, not a commodity sales person who relies on selling on price
• Open, frank and honest
• Autonomous and proactive
• Consultative and empathetic
