The role of the Area Sales Manager Roofing & Waterproofing systems will involve:
• Field sales position selling a manufactured and exclusively distributed range of cold applied, liquid waterproofing systems
• Stimulating demand by selling into roofing contractors
• 50% of your time account managing existing roofing contactor relationships
• Responsible for approx. £350,000 turnover
• 50% new business development position
• Target year one £450,000
• Will be an element of some warm leads via roofing merchants and builders merchants
• Daily and quarterly reporting
• Typical order values £5,000-£10,000
• Circa 40% domestic, 60% commercial/ industrial projects
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Roofing & Waterproofing systems with:
• Proven track record of field sales within the construction industry
• Knowledge of roofing, ideally flat roofing would be advantageous
• Must have sold into contractors
• Open to distribution +/or merchant sales backgrounds
• Specific cold applied, waterproofing system knowledge is not essential
• Knowledge of the construction sector
• Ability to inspire confidence, develop and sustain relationships with customers including roofing contractors and roofing/ builders merchants
• Self motivated
• Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and through reporting
