Remuneration: £28,000 - £32,000 + up to 10% bonus

The role of the Junior Area Sales Manager - Decorative Laminate Surfaces will involve:
• Field sales development position selling our clients manufactured range of decorative laminate MDF and chipboard surfaces for interior finishes such as; kitchen, bedroom and bathroom laminate furniture
• Selling predominantly into kitchen, bedroom, bathroom (KBB) manufacturers, but also shop fitting manufacturers, exhibition manufacturers, office furniture manufacturers and contract furniture manufacturers
• Liaising with distributors and customers as required with specific reference to supplying product information, training and support.
• Direct sales to manufacturers as well as sales fulfilled via distributors
• 20% new business development, 80% account management role
• No personal revenue target in your first year, you will contribute towards the team target of £35m-£40m
• 4 days a week on the road, typically 3-4 customer visits per day
• Opportunity to progress into a field sales target carrying role in year 2
• Project sizes £1m-£7m
• Full product and route to market training will be provided
The ideal applicant will be a Junior Area Sales Manager Decorative Laminate Surfaces with:
• Field sales experience is not essential, open to interior designers or someone working in a kitchen, bedroom or bathroom showroom looking to progress into field sales
• Open to a graduate looking for first field sales opportunity
• Knowledge of timber panel or sheet MDF may be advantageous
• Field sales experience within a building products distributor would be ideal
• Ideally sold decorative, tactile / aesthetically pleasing interior products such as; kitchen, bedroom, bathrooms, (KBB), carpets, curtains, fabrics, flooring, wall coverings, taps etc
• Understands distribution
