Remuneration: £43,000 Neg. + £5,000-£10,000 Bonus

The role of the Specification Sales Manager – Doorsets & Architectural Ironmongery will involve:
• Field sales position selling high end doorsets/ architectural ironmongery
• 50% of your time selling into specialist composite and timber door fabricators for the veneered timber door and internal fire door markets
• 30% winning specifications with architects, local authorities, M&E contractors and main contractors
• 20% managing relationships and influencing architectural ironmongers
• Responsible for an area with circa £1.5m-£2m turnover
• Inheriting a territory currently performing above budget expectation
• Tasked with growing the area in line with company growth targets
• Create an affiliation network with common suppliers such as access control partners
• Deliver approx. 3 CPD presentation per month
• Four days a week on the road visiting customers and one day working for home/ administration
The ideal applicant will be a Specification Sales Manager – Doorsets & Architectural Ironmongery with:
• Doors/ doorsets or door hardware field sales experience from within the construction industry
• Would also consider specification field sales with architects and architectural ironmongers
• GAI or FRID (fire door inspector qualification) may be advantageous
• Must be comfortable with technical regulations/ legislation around internal timber fire door locking systems
• Consultative in approach
• Network of contacts within composite or timber door fabrications is not essential
• Must be a solution sales person, not someone that sells on price
• Autonomous in nature
• Comfortable with monthly reporting and diary planning
• Self motivated, communicative, relationship builder with strong negotiation skills
