Remuneration: £45,000-£50,000 + £5,000-£10,000 Bonus

The role of the Area Sales Manager – Door Locks and Window Hardware will involve:
• Field sales position selling door locks including an autolock door range for the door and window industry
• Targeting predominantly mid to large sized door and window trade fabricators/ manufacturers
• Also specification selling into passive fire companies, local authorities and housing associations
• Small amount of time looking after some established distributors on patch
• 50% new business development, 50% account management role
• Being responsible for an area which has historically performed well against budget expectation
• £2.7million revenue responsibility
• Tasked with growing the area in line with company growth targets
• Liaising internally with marketing and technical departments
• Managing projects through fabricator network to completion
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Door Locks and Window Hardware with:
• Door and window industry experience
• Must understand door hardware/ locking systems
• Ability to hit the ground running
• Must be comfortable with technical regulations/ legislation and have the ability to utilise our clients accreditation to gain specifications within door and window fabricators/ manufacturers
• Solution sales background, not someone that sells on price
• Technical ability with ability to learn new products
• Safe pair of hands
• Consultative in approach
• Network on contacts within door and window fabricators/ manufacturers is not essential
• Comfortable with monthly reporting and diary planning
• Self motivated, communicative, relationship builder with strong negotiation skills
