Remuneration: £45,000 - £49,500 + £6,000-£16,000 bonus

The role of the Area Sales Manager – M&E Building Services will involve:

• Field sales role selling manufactured range of commercial pumps into commercial building services projects such as schools, hospitals, high rise residential and public buildings
• 50% of you time selling into M&E sub contractors
• 20% generating specifications with M&E consultants, local authorities, health authorities other and specialist specifiers
• 30% back selling through national (BSS, Pipe Center etc.) and independent plumbing & heating merchants (ensuring distributors and local stockists are fully informed in respect of new products etc.)
• Majority of your time will be spent generating new business, mainly through developing existing accounts
• Taking over a territory with a current turn over of circa £1.4m (historically achieved budget expectations)
• Targeted to grow the area in line with it’s potential (incumbent had been on patch 9-10 years, growth had become a bit stagnant)
• Keeping a well organised CRM system

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – M&E Building Services with:

• Proven field sales experience and ideally contacts with M&E contractors
• Building services industry knowledge, commercial pump sales background would be ideal
• Technical ability
• Commercial pump product knowledge is not essential as can be taught
• An attitude of wanting to create a name for yourself
• On the up in career, not a man manager looking to make a backward step
• Ideally sold commercial building services products such as pumps, boilers, valves or other heating and ventilation H&V associated products
