Remuneration: £40,000-£50,000 Neg. + up to £10,000 Bonus

The role of the Area Sales Manager Insulation for Acoustic Flooring will involve:
• Field sales role selling a manufactured range of thermal and acoustic technical insulation (for predominantly acoustic flooring)
• Predominantly targeting residential projects but also some schools
• £3.5m revenue responsibility (20% below budget 2020)
• 80% new business development, 20% account management role
• 40% of your time will be spent winning specifications with architects
• 30% managing relationships with main contractors, housebuilders, housing developers and various joinery sub-contractors, underfloor heating sub-contractors, flooring sub-contractors, screeding sub-contractors etc.
• 30% back selling through established network of builders merchants and distributors
• Managing circa 60-70 accounts
• Calling on construction sites, to identify and influence technical managers in site offices
• Project sizes up to £100,000-£150,000
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager Insulation for Acoustic Flooring with:
• Field sales experience from a building material manufacturer (will not consider distribution field sales backbrounds)
• Ideally associated products such as insulation, flooring, wet & dry screed, underfloor heating etc.
• Must understand the architectural specification process
• Ideally some previous experience of having sold into contractors (main contractors, housebuilders, joinery sub-contractors, underfloor heating sub-contractors, flooring sub-contractors, screeding sub-contractors etc.)
• Experience of having back-sold through builders merchants/ distributors is not essential
• New business hunter, money hungry
• Preferably understand u-value’s and decibels in relation to sound insulation
• Knock on doors mentality, comfortable cold calling on construction sites
• Passionate, motivated and enthusiastic
