The role of the Technical Product Support Specialist – Timber Preservation will involve:
• Delivering expert timber treatment product advice
• Working closely with the sales, production and technical departments
• Customer facing national role, you will act as the dedicated technical product support manager
• Product support, and customer facing technical trouble shooting
• Advise existing and prospective customers on technical aspects of products
• Acting as the link between the sales team, production and technical department
• Technical support of existing timber treatment products in predominantly the UK but also occasionally in Europe
• Home based role but with regular visits to North East manufacturing facility
• Supporting the field sales team as well as the engineers and a control systems manager in the UK and abroad
• Attending commercial treatment sites as technical support
• Assist and support internal and external training on the industrial use of products on an ad-hoc basis
The ideal applicant will be a Technical Product Support Specialist – Timber Preservation experience with:
• At least 2 years of experience within a product development team, or engineering support team
• Timber preservation or chemical associated industry experience
• Must be comfortable with a customer facing national role
• Ideally have some experience of carrying out audits
• Familiar with the design and operation of industrial plant
• Engineering or scientific background
• Degree in engineering or applied sciences
• Creative, ability to think on your feet
