Remuneration: £35,000-£45,000 + £10,000-£20,000 Bonus/ Commissions

The role of the Area Sales Manager – Plumbing & Heating Controls will involve:
• Field sales position promoting a manufactured range of domestic heating controls, and energy saving products
• Responsible for selling domestic heating controls to national and independent merchants and distributors
• 100% of sales fulfilled through a mix of electrical wholesalers, plumbers merchants, builders merchants and distributors
• Stimulating demand with plumbing & heating installers (60% of your time in the summer months and 20% of your time in the winter months)
• Remainder of your time managing nationals such as TP Group, Grafton, Graham, PTS and buying society members as well as independent plumbers and builders merchants & electrical wholesalers
• Managing a well established area with circa 200+ branches, which need calling on every 6 weeks, 6-10 calls per day
• Current turnover circa £600,000, you will be tasked with growing revenue to £1m
• Fantastic opportunity for territory growth and for sales person to make a name for themselves as the area has been performing below budget expectation
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Plumbing & Heating Controls with:
• Plumbing and heating industry field sales experience
• Must have sold through and have relationships in place with plumbers merchants or builders merchants or electrical wholesalers on patch
• Ideally used to stimulating demand with plumbing & heating contractors / installers
• Specific heating controls knowledge is not essential but may be advantageous
• Open to a manufacturer or merchant field sales background
• Excellent territory planning skills
• Determined nature, team player with stability
• Proactive approach and strong communicator
