Location: St Albans

Remuneration: £55,000 – £60,000 + £10,000 – £15,000 bonus

Benefits: Pension & 25 days annual leave, £5000 car allowance

The role of the Business Development Manager – Plumbing & Heating Systems will involve:

  • Business Development Manager position dealing with a range of underfloor heating systems sold into main contractors, plumbing contractors, mechanical contractors and house builders.
  • Achieving new business sales targets by building and managing a strong, right-sized pipeline
  • Proactively generating new opportunities through structured prospecting and face-to-face appointments
  • Owning the full sales cycle from lead generation to on boarding and order handover
  • Maximising customer spend through value-based selling, upsell/cross-sell, and collaboration with Key Account Managers
  • Act as a trusted product expert and brand ambassador, delivering excellent customer service and continuous self-improvement

The ideal applicant will be an Business Development Manager – Plumbing & Heating Systems with:

  • Must have 2+ years’ experience in business development or a similar sales role
  • Must have experience within a underfloor heating systems and/or experience selling into main contractors, plumbing contractors, mechanical contractors and house builders
  • Strong lead generation and prospecting skills, with good commercial and numerical awareness
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), personable, professional, and articulate
  • Highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented, with strong time management and teamwork skills
