The role of the Quantity Surveyor – Brickwork will involve:
- Quantity Surveyor position managing costs related to various brickwork projects for main-contractors
- Price the cost of materials needed for the project
- Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, BOQs and other relevant documentation
- Track changes to the works and adjust budget projections accordingly
- Measure and value the work done on site
- Liaise with the client and other internal/external stake holders, such as Site managers & Project Manager
- Working on projects varying in value up to £2.5m
The ideal applicant will be an Quantity Surveyor – Brickwork industry with:
- Must have Quantity Surveying experience
- Ideally will have Surveying degree or equivalent, however experience outweighs qualifications
- Ability to produce take-offs as required
- Knowledge of construction procurement, specifications and sub-contractor management
- Highly organised with good attention to detail
- Excellent communicator across all levels both written and verbally
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
