The role of the Senior Designer – Timber Frame will involve:
- Senior Designer position dealing with a range of timber frame projects for main contractors and house builders
- Produce and manage design programmes in line with client requirements
- Liaise with Production Manager to ensure all manufacturing information is correct and in line with requirements
- Manage and develop a team of 4 Design Technicians
- Build and develop client relationships throughout projects
- Liaise with client design teams and external consultants in relation to live projects
- Liaise with site team to resolve queries
- Attend sites as and when required across Ireland
The ideal applicant will be a Senior Designer – Timber Frame industry with:
- Must have design experience within the timber frame, timber structures, timber construction, modular building or roof trusses market sector
- People management skills highly advantageous
- Main Contractor & Design consultancy backgrounds would be considered
- May potentially consider strong design experience within the wider construction industry (5 years+)
- Must be a proficient user of AutoCAD
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Highly organised with good attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
