Area to be covered: North, Scotland and Northern Ireland – ideally based near M62
Remuneration: £45,000-£55,000 + 15% Bonus

The role of the Area Sales Manager – Door Hardware and Hinges will involve:
- Field sales role, selling a manufactured high quality range of Hinges and hardware for windows and doors
- Majority of your time account developing circa 50-100 architectural ironmongers, predominantly based in the North West and along the M62 corridor (visits to Scotland and Northern Ireland are sporadic)
- Remainder of time will be spent stimulating demand for products directly with door manufacturers and also specifiers (typically architects or architectural ironmongers who do the drawing for the architects) as well as interior designers, housebuilders and building contractors/ installers
- Inhering an area currently performing just below budget expectation, with a turnover of circa £1m
- Typically 2-3 high quality customer appointments per day, four days per week, one day working from home/ administration
- Initially 75% account management, 25% new business prospecting but this may change as you become more established in the role
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Door Hardware and Hinges with:
- Field sales experience from the KBB industry (kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms)
- Previously sold into independent merchant/ showrooms within merchants
- Previous experience of having sold door hardware, hinges or related ironmongery is not required
- Proven territory management experience, ideally with distributors such as merchants
- Previous experience of selling into architectural ironmongers, door manufacturers, architects, interior designers, housebuilders and building contractors/ installers is not essential
- Ability to sell products on the basis of quality rather than price
- Track record of building long lasting relationships and growing existing business
- Self motivated, autonomous, credible, enthusiastic and pro active personality
