Remuneration: £38,000-£42,000 Neg. + £10,000-£15,000 Commission
Benefits: £7,200 car allowance, £10 daily lunch allowance, share scheme, private healthcare, 5% pension etc.
The role of the Area Sales Manager – Electrical & LED Lighting will involve:
- Field sales position selling a manufactured and distributed range of LED lighting, portable power accessories, trunking, wiring accessories, electrical accessories, wiring devices and circuit protection
- Inheriting an area with approx. 200 active spending customers (typically hardware stores, DIY shops and independent retailers and builders merchants/ buying group members)
- Responsible for a turnover of circa £1.5m, currently tracking on target year to date
- Six scheduled customer visits per day (three on a Friday, afternoon admin)
- Trade morning as and when required
- Working as a team of seven nationally
- Calling on 60% independent customers, 40% nationals such as Jewson, MKM etc. (growing the builders merchant customer base is a significant KPI)
The ideal applicant will be Area Sales Manager – Electrical and LED Lighting with:
- Proven track record in field sales
- Must have sold to hardware stores, DIY shops, independent retailers or builders merchants/ buying groups
- Electrical industry experience is preferred but not essential
- Highly motivated
- Organised and reliable
- Team player
- Excellent time management and territory planning capability
- Personable, driven and enthusiastic
