Job Title: Area Sales Manager – Garage Doors

Area to be covered: South (Northampton down) ideally based East of Swindon
Remuneration: £40,000-£42,000 + £12,000-£15,000 uncapped commission

The role of the Area Sales Manager – Garage Doors will involve:
- Field sales position selling a manufactured and distributed range of garage doors
- Selling to the trade through garage door installers
- Inheriting a well-established area currently turnover over £1.5m with approx. 80-90 garage door installer relationships
- Tasked with achieving £650,000 of new business revenue
- 50% new business development position, 50% account management
- Recruiting circa 40-50 additional garage door installer relationships
- Target list of customers will be provided and you will be supported, mentored and trained by our client’s Sales Director
- Typical order values £1,000
- Sales cycles will be short, typically 1-8 weeks
- Daily and weekly report writing, call planning and diary management
- Liaise regularly with Sales Director
- Efficiently manage time and plan work to ensure logical and cost-effective use of time
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Garage Doors with:
- Must have construction/ trade field sales experience
- Open on product background, will consider experience selling into general builders, building contractors, plumbers, electricians and other specialist sub-contractors
- Proven track record in B2B new business development, ability to demonstrate real hunger
- Ideally sold to installers however prior experience of having sold to garage door installers is not required
- Product knowledge is not essential as full product training will be provided
- Excellent planning, organisation, time management skills
- Comfortable with features & benefits sales
- Technical, literate, excellent interpersonal skills, eye for detail and ambitious personality
