Area to be covered: Greater London, Essex, Kent, Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire
Remuneration: £40,000 – £45,000 Neg. + 10% bonus

The role of the Area Sales Manager – GRP Roofing will involve:
- Field sales position selling a high quality manufactured range of pitched roofing and ventilation products
- Predominantly selling GRP valley troughs but also ridge & hip, verge, roofing ventilation, roof flashing, roof jointing, roof abutments, vapour permeable tile and slate roofing underlays, wall cavity & underfloor ventilation, tile and slate roofing accessories
- 80% of your time managing circa 120 roofing merchants on patch, all sales are via the merchant channel
- (includes recruiting circa 15 new roofing merchants per year)
- 20% simulating demand with roofing contractors and supporting the Southern BDM when they need help with architectural CPD’s
- Responsible for an area achieving circa £2m
- 5-6 customer visits per day
- Customers range in size from £500 to £50,000 turnover
- Dedicated internal sales support
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – GRP Roofing with:
- Must have field sales experience in the building products sector
- Must have sold to merchants (roofing merchants or builders merchants)
- Roofing product knowledge is not essential but may be advantageous
- Specific knowledge of GRP roofing, valley troughs, ridge & hip, verge, roofing ventilation, roof flashing, roof jointing, roof abutments, vapour permeable tile and slate roofing underlays, wall cavity & underfloor ventilation, tile and slate roofing accessories is not essential
- Trustworthy
- Ability to work autonomously
