Area to be covered: South of South East (below M4/ River Thames)

Remuneration: Up to £45,000 + £6,000 Uncapped Bonus

Benefits: Fully expensed Electric/ Hybrid car + full benefits package

The role of the Area Sales Manager – Timber Doors & Joinery will involve:

  • Field sales position selling a distributed range of timber doors and associated products
  • Majority of your time selling to independent and national builders merchants and timber merchants and buying groups
  • Small amount of time in from of housebuilders and housing developers, trying to influence specifications
  • Responsible for circa £3m turnover, tasked with 10% growth
  • Being responsible for approx. 200-250 branches
  • 80% account management and 20% new business development (mostly with buying group deals and dormant accounts and housebuilders/ housing developers)
  • Dealing with order values of £1,000-£10,000, average £2,000-£3,000
  • 4-6 week call cycles for key customers
  • Buddied up with a dedicated internal customer service administrator

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Timber Doors & Joinery with:

  • Demonstrable track record of field sales experience
  • Must have experience selling into selling into independent and national builders merchants and timber merchants and buying groups
  • Knowledge of association timer/ joinery products such as doors, flooring etc. is preferred but not essential (open to most building products)
  • Proven account development experience, i.e. must have capability to grow accounts
  • Driven, tenacious personality with a strong work ethic and high energy levels
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Determined, resilient and motivated
  • Ability to hit the ground running
  • Computer iterate
