The role of the Contracts Engineer – HVAC Systems will involve:
- Contracts Engineer position dealing with a range of HVAC equipment including AHUs, air conditioning units, chillers and ventilation systems
- Act as the main point of contact for clients and sub-contractors
- Managing site installations projects from order to handover
- Carry out pre-start site surveys, organised subcontract labour, oversee site progress, arrange deliveries of materials and equipment, H&S audits, site inductions and quality checks
- Producing a detailed project programme of works
- Effective handling of each project to maximise profitability
- Producing documentation to meet CDM Regulations
- Working on projects ranging in value from £1,000 to £200,000
The ideal applicant will be a Contracts Engineer – HVAC Systems with:
- Must have engineering or management experience within the construction industry, ideally with a bias to HVAC / M&E market sectors
- Must have the ability to find and resolve various issues
- Ideally will have an Air Conditioning or related qualification
- Sound understanding of construction H&S legislation
- SMSTS/SSSTS
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to accurately complete all paper work and reports
- Full UK driving license
- Must be driven, hungry, self-motivated with a keen willingness to learn
- Must be flexible and adaptable
