The role of the Internal Sales – Timber & Building Products will involve:
- Internal sales position, selling a range of timber & building products into the construction industry such as: sheet materials, building materials, workwear, windows, doors, cladding, fencing, bathroom products, decking etc.
- You will be selling into main contractors, sub-contractors & DIY end users
- 90% of your time will be spent conducting outbound calls with the remaining time being spent assisting customers or on the trade counter
- Uncovering new sales opportunities and developing new spending accounts
- Maintaining relationships with existing customers
- Raising quotations and following up
- Possessing a good understanding of the product range
- Dealing with accounts spending from £50,000 – £1m per year
The ideal applicant will be Internal Sales – Timber & Building Products with:
- Must have current sales experience within a builders merchant, minimum 2 years
- Ideally you will have an existing portfolio/customer base
- Ideally within an internal sales or sales negotiator position
- Highly organised, motivated and driven
- Excellent communication skills written and verbally
- Must be computer literate
- Outgoing, enthusiastic and confident personality
- Comfortable with working both autonomously and as part of a team
