Area to be covered: National – ideally one/ two days per week West Yorkshire office

Remuneration: £60,000-£65,000 Neg. + £10,000 uncapped commission

Benefits: Hybrid BMW or similar & full benefits

The role of the National Account Manager – Flooring will involve:

  • Field sales role selling a full range of manufactured floor coverings/ carpet tiles
  • 50% of your time managing key national relationships with circa 6 main contactors, 3 housing developers as well as a number of direct customer accounts in Northern and Republic of Ireland (quarterly visits)
  • 50% of time developing new supply chain relationships within main contractors, dealing with procurement directors/ supply chain directors etc. at head office level, winning opportunities to have our client added to their preferred supplier lists as well as going after direct end user major projects with the likes of Amazon, Google etc.
  • £1m revenue target (which could be achieved converting one major project
  • Developing and executing strategies to effectively manage long term business relationships
  • Targeting commercial buildings such as office blocks, education sector (schools, universities & colleges), hospitality & leisure, high rise residential and a small amount of healthcare

 

The ideal applicant will be a National Account Manager – Flooring with:

 

  • Proven track record of key account of national account management within the textile or flooring industry
  • Must understand the commercial textile/ flooring sector
  • Specification field sales experience within main contractors
  • Contacts within procurement directors/ supply chain directors advantageous
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills
  • Analytical mind-set with strong ability to interpret data/ make recommendations
  • Open to most interior products such as: contract furniture, lighting, wall coverings, fabric, ceiling, partitioning, furniture etc.
  • Prior experience of selling into office blocks, education sector (schools, universities & colleges), hospitality & leisure, high rise residential and healthcare may be advantageous
  • Tactile sales background rather that technical, sold something aesthetically pleasing, ideally flooring related
  • Carpet knowledge not essential
  • Team player
  • Energy, passion and Enthusiasm
  • Strong commercial and presentation skills
