Area to be covered: Greater London

Remuneration: £55,000-£60,000 Basic + up to £12,000 uncapped Commission

Benefits: Car Allowance and full benefits package

The role of the Specification Sales Manager – Architectural Ironmongery will involve:

  • Field based sales role promoting a comprehensive range of high quality door hardware, architectural ironmonger and related products
  • Specification field sales position, you will spend approx. 50% of your time winning specifications and influencing London based architects
  • Remainder of time managing relationships with main contractors and joinery sub contractors as well as some door manufacturers
  • Working in a team of 4 field sales professionals covering the London market
  • Inheriting a warm territory with a turnover of circa £1m
  • Focussed on the commercial fit out and new build markets (small amount of high net worth individual residential projects)
  • Typically 2-3 days a week on the road in London, rest of time working from home (monthly visits to our clients’ head office in the home counties)

 

The ideal applicant will be a Specification Sales Manager – Architectural Ironmongery with:

  • Proven specification field sales experience with architects
  • Ideally sold architectural ironmonger, but also open to high end construction products such as ; furniture, washrooms, lighting and possibly flooring, ceilings, tiles, ceramics etc.
  • Self-starter attitude with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to develop new business and manage existing accounts
  • Must be comfortable spending 2-3 days a week in central London
  • Contacts within the A&D architectural and interior design community in London may be beneficial
  • A.I. accreditation is not required but may be advantageous
  • Must have experience of selling high end products and not selling on price or on the back of a brand name
  • Technically capable
  • Proactive and personable
