Technical Product Manager – Roofing & Building Products

Area to be covered: National coverage (Must be based centrally)

The role of the Technical Product Manager – Roofing & Building Products will involve:
- Technical / Product Manager position promoting a range of roofing & building products
- Supporting the internal / external sales teams with technical queries
- Maintain in-depth technical knowledge of products (features, benefits, materials, manufacture)
- Support to customers such as; architects, building merchants, end users etc.
- Occasional European travel, to support technical and product activities
- Monitor UK market trends, regulations, and competitor activity, communicating impacts internally and externally
- Support UK sales and marketing through technical queries, complaint resolution, documentation, training, CPD’s & marketing collateral
- Attend trade shows and exhibitions where required
- Lead and coordinate UK market research and support international and local new product development, including managing UK product introductions and communicating progress
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Roofing & Building Products with:
- Must have knowledge of technical roofing systems ideally both roofing ventilation & pitched roofing including relevant legislation and design requirements
- Must be from a Technical Manager, Product Manager, Technical Sales Engineer, Technical Sales Manager or closely aligned background
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a commercially minded, hands-on approach
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Established relationships within the roofing technical community (e.g. NFRC) and additional knowledge of built-up walls and facades are advantageous
