Remuneration: £42,000 + £10,000 Bonus

The role of the Area Sales Manager – Construction Heavy Plant Hire will involve:
- Field sales role, selling the hire of heavy construction plant hire
- Selling excavators, dumpers, dozers and telehandlers
- Selling into building contractors, main contractors, housebuilder developers, archaeologists and waste/ recycling contractors
- 60-70% new business (some dormant customers to approach)
- 30-40% account management
- Acing as the sole dedicated hire sales person for the company
- Targeted to increase hire sales by circa £1m
- Multiple construction sites visits daily
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Construction Heavy Plant Hire with:
- Proven track record of construction field sales success
- Construction hire industry experience preferred
- Must have knowledge, ideally sold, heavy plant hire (may be open to heavy plant sales)
- Specific knowledge of excavators, dumpers, dozers and telehandlers advantageous
- Contacts within building contractors, main contractors, housebuilder developers, archaeologists and waste/ recycling contractors on patch may be useful
- Physically fit
- Stable career history
