Remuneration: £33,000 + £5,000-£10,000 Uncapped Bonus

The role of the Area Sales Manager Plumbing and Heating Merchants will involve:
- Field sales position, selling water treatment, water softeners, heating system chemical treatments and scale prevention
- Promoting water treatment solutions to independent and national plumbing & heating merchants and builders merchants
- 80% account managing circa 200 National plumbing and builders merchants (Travis Perkins, Wolseley, Graham Plumbers Merchants, Plumbase, City Plumbing) and circa 300 (of which only 50 are active) independent plumbing & heating merchants
- 20% of your time stimulating demand for our clients products with plumbing contractors, site visits etc
- Targeted on growing the independent plumbing and builders merchants revenue from £50,000 to £150,000 in the first year, and total revenue from circa £150,00-£200,000 to £250,000-£300,000
- up to eight customer account visits per day, six weekly call cycle
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager Plumbing and Heating Merchants with:
- Proven field sales track record within the plumbing & heating sector
- Ideally experience of selling to plumbing & heating merchants
- Will consider someone working for a plumbing & heating merchant, looking for first field sales role
- Previous experience stimulating demand with plumbing contractor and end users is not essential
- Preferably sold lightside building products; plumbing, heating, HVAC products such as boilers or sanitary ware
- Fire in the belly, not someone looking for a “milk round”
- Strong in prospecting, closing and growing business accounts
- Can do attitude
