UK based role – ideally based South/ South East
Covering: Poland, Hungary, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta and Portugal
Remuneration: £33,000-£42,000 + up to 25% Bonus
Benefits: Fully expensed travel & full benefits package
The role of the Export Sales Executive Building Services & Utilities will involve:
- UK home based/ export field sales position covering Poland, Hungary, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta and Portugal
- Selling a large manufactured portfolio of predominantly couplings, flange adaptors, repair clamps, pipe repair, specialist joints and expansion joints
- Selling through channel partners and key end users, into predominantly the building services water and utilities markets
- 80% of projects are within the repair & maintenance markets
- Minimum of 10-20% of your time travelling to territories (one visit per quarter to large end users in Poland and Hungary and bi-annual to the smaller channel partner/ countries
- Area currently achieving circa £1m turnover and currently running on budget
- In Europe the role is 80% account management of distributors and 20% joint visits and seeking out new opportunities
- Distribution partners throughout Europe are typically small private distributors (e.g. specialist water utility merchants), but in Poland, Hungary and one of the Baltic countries it’s almost exclusively through Aliaxis
- Working with the channel partner distributors, going out to see their end user water companies to help win specifications and influence tenders at an early stage
The ideal applicant will be an Export Sales Executive Building Services & Utilities with:
- Commercially astute and comfortable with European travel
- Hunter mentality with the ability to drive genuine growth
- Proven track record in indirect sales/ channel sales/ distribution sales preferred
- 3 year+ internal or external sales experience
- Open on product background, plumbing and heating not essential
- Must have English as a language, European language may be beneficial but not essential
- Ideally with distribution field sales experience
- Specific knowledge of couplings or valves is not essential and full product training will be provided
- Ideally water utilities industry/ building services industry experience, but open to construction product experience if through distribution
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills
- Valid passport and ability to travel throughout the EU
