Office based: Toronto (30% of your time visiting customers)

Remuneration: $180,000 – $230,000 CAD (depending on exp) + % of profit bonus & full comprehensive benefits package

The role of the General Manager / Head of Commercial Sales – Cubicles & Washrooms will involve:

  • General Manager position responsible for manufacturing of visual display products as well as distribution of partitions, accessories & lockers
  • Managing 21 operations staff, 2 administration staff and 11 sales people (customer service and sales) as well as independent manufacturer’s reps throughout Canada
  • Overall responsibility of a $20m turnover business
  • Ensure all ooperaiton are carried out at the most cost effective way
  • Will oversee inventory, materials and warehouse duties / efficiencies
  • Analyse problematic situations and provide solutions to ensure company growth
  • Analyse competitors activity and forecast changes in the market
  • Will be expected to manage circa 3-5 distributor accounts
  • Target projects would include: schools, office blocks, residential buildings and large end users
  • Regular contact with Vice President and senior board members

The ideal applicant will be a General Manager / Head of Commercial Sales – Cubicles & Washrooms with:

  • Must have at least 5 years sales & ops experience
  • Must have management experience
  • Must have experience managing budgets, P&L and forecasting
  • Must have a strong commercial and manufacturing knowledge and experience
  • Must have experience developing and implementing strategic business plans
  • Ideally from a related product background however not essential such as: marker boards, visual displays, signage, toilet partitions, washroom accessories, cubicles, bathrooms cubicles, washrooms, panels, bathroom panels, washroom accessories, duct panels, lockers, benches, door hardware, ironmongery, laminates, worktops, decorative surfaces and durable surfaces etc.
