The role of the HSE Manager – Structural Steelwork will involve:
- HSE Manager position responsible for implementing the health, safety and environmental programs for heavy & light steelwork projects
- Lead, develop and maintain HSE management systems in line with relevant legislation, industry standards and company procedures, ensuring ongoing compliance and audit readiness
- Ensure products consistently meet required specifications, regulatory standards, and customer expectations
- Drive health and safety performance through effective risk management, incident investigation, and implementation of safe working practices
- Plan and oversee internal and external audits, ensuring non-conformances are addressed with robust corrective actions
- Support environmental and sustainability, including waste reduction, energy efficiency and continual improvement
- Monitor performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities and report outcomes to senior management
- Oversee projects typically up to £10m in value
The ideal applicant will be a HSE Manager – Structural Steelwork with:
- Must have experience in Health and Safety or have a background from an equivalent position (HSE Manager, SHEQ Manager Health & Safety Manager Etc.)
- Must have experience within structural steelwork or related sectors (industrial doors, temporary buildings, SFS, architectural metal, steelwork, mezzanine flooring, modular buildings)
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Must be able to hit the ground running
- IT literate
