The role of the Lighting Specification Sales Engineer will involve:
- Field sales role, promoting a range of architectural indoor and outdoor lighting
- Specification sales led role, winning projects and influence within electrical engineers, architects, consulting engineers, A&D, lighting designers, M&E consultants, interior designers and landscape designers
- Working within a London centric team of 7 field sales professionals
- Following up on leads via Barber ABI as well as managing projects
- Inheriting circa 600 clients with a view to focusing on the top 50
- Project sizes up to £1m
- Nominal £500,000 target year one (whilst building up pipeline) on invoiced sales
- 95% specification sales role targeting Architects, Consultants, M&E Consultants, Consulting Engineers and Lighting Designers
- Managing a CRM database of contacts but most business/projects will be new
- Targeting prestigious commercial projects and also high street retailers
The ideal applicant will be a Lighting Specification Sales Engineer with:
- Ideally working for an architectural lighting competitor
- Open to any electrical specification sales experience, product training will be provided
- Technically minded
- Contacts within interior designers, electrical engineers, M&E consultants may be advantageous
- Daily access to London
- Proactive approach
- Hard working, tenacous with good business acumen
